  11. -Lame V3.85...If you still not have Lame..download it at http://www.honeypot.net/audio
  12. -Opus5.82..not tested on previous versions but maybe work on them 
  13. -some sound files to convert to mp3

  17. -AllegroCDFS
  18. -a CDROM with audio-digital-extract
  19. -a faster procesor
  20. -oxypatcher 3.14  for the 040/060 cpus (increase speed) 
  21. -68040.library V44 from OS3.5 package if you have a 040 of course (increase speed)

  23. Installation:
  24.  
  25. -copy LAME to C dir (version acording to your CPU)
  26. -copy the file named lame_buttons to Dopus5/buttons
  27.  
  28. Usage:
  29.  
  30. Make sure that you have open 2 listers on Opus5..one for source and one for destination
  31. On Opus5 go to load buttons and select "Lame_buttons"
  32. Select one or more sound files and press your desired button
  33. There are 3 buttons..fast,normal and high quality
  34. Suported source files: aiff,wav,cdda,8svx,raw-pcm etc .read lame docs for more info
  35. Use CTRL + C to quit encoding
  36. -Please note if you are using AllegroCDFS (the faster and better CDfilesystem for
  37. the Amiga now) you can convert any cdda track direct from CD..if you CDROM support audio-digital
  38. extract.
  39. On AllegroCDFS you can see all CDDA tracks files in Opus listers ..so use it like
  40. a normal wav or aiff file to convert to mp3

  42. Aditional notes:

  44. Lame is the faster Mp3 encoder for the Amiga now in july/2000 and is freeware
  45. With the fast button I can make an mp3 file from a cdda or wav or aiff file (duration 4 or 5 mins)
  46. in about 8 or 9  minutes on my A1200 apollo 1266 060/66mhz
  47. Im not Amadeus Mozart but I can not see much sound diference betewen fast mormal and
  48. highquality output ..so try FAST button
  49. Lame have more functions and options but I think that you only need this 3 buttons
  50. Lame is now 10-15% faster than previous 3.70 version
